October 29, 2011 A quick tip when you are considering a power supply box for your infrared cameras. If you have high powered infrared cameras with more than 12 infrared led bulbs, you need to calcualte the total amperage output from all your cameras. Power supply boxes cannot handle more than 18 amps. The basic 9 channel power boxes support 8,9, and 12 amps. Most infrared cameras use 1000 to 1500 milliamps so beware, don't overshoot or risk damaging your cameras from power shortages. Calculate the right amperage, if you need help, call us and speak with a CCTV consultant to help you configure the right setup.
